Gaffney, SC - july 26, 1947 S. A. Richardson, Taken By Death Textile Worker, Samuel Abb Richardson, 79, wellknown former textile overseer, died about midnight Thursday here at the home of his daughter, Mrs. S. W. Phillips, following an illness of two years. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Sisk Funeral Home at Bsesemer City, N. C., by the Rev. J. R. Duncan, pastor of the O'Dell Methodist church, of Bessemer City, of which Mr. Richardson was a member. Burial will be in the cemetery at Rock Hill. Mr. Richardson is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Phillips, of Gaffney, Mrs. J. L. Dulls, of Charlotte, and Mrs. Jack Davis, of Valley Falls; five sons, W. p. Richardson, of Charlotte, A. S. RIchardson of Rock Hill, J. M. Richardson, of Cherokee Falss, H. F. Richardson, of Gaffney, and Silas Richardson, of Bessemer City; a sister, Mrs. Fannie Morrison, of Charlotte; and two brothers, J. M. Richardson, of Kannapolis, N.C., and Winfield Richardson, of Florence.
