H. A. Ellis H. A. Ellis passed away at a Columbia hospital Monday evening. Mr. Ellis was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Andy Ellis. He is survived by the following children: Boyd Ellis of Belton, Willie Ellis of Kershaw, Coleman Ellis, Carl Ellis and Mrs. Myrtle Deese of Lancaster, Mrs. Lois Watts of Westville, Mrs. May Wright and Mrs. Mamie Hall of Camden. Also two brothers and one sister survive. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock at Fork Hill Baptist church with Rev. Hazel Hinson, pastor of the deceased, officiating, assisted by Rev. Davis and Rev. Gwinn. Interment was in the church cemetery.

DC gives parents names as Frank and Mollie Reeves Ellis. Came from State Hospital records. "Hamp Ellis" listed in Moriah Baptist Association Minutes as member of Flint Ridge.
